David Mustra

As an analytical scientist, program manager, and policy development professional, I am committed to applying my training and technical skills to the process of building partnerships between the government and business sectors in order to drive innovation designed to solve complex health, environmental, and social issues. With a PhD in Pharmacology & Toxicology, my strong analytical background has built within me a rigorous attention to detail and effective problem-solving abilities; skills that I have utilized to drive successful teams and programs in the most demanding of working environments. By adding to my core scientific training and teaching ability the diplomacy and business skill sets necessary for effective management and communication, I have developed a uniquely strategic approach and acumen for policy, messaging campaigns, and business as demonstrated by my professional record of accomplishment. My diverse work experience in science policy, program administration, project management, risk analysis and reduction, science policy, public health advocacy, and legislative and regulatory development has taught me well how to analyze a situation, envision an informed long-range strategy, and implement effective and sustainable solutions to complex situations. My approach to management and team building is on that is derived from my commitment to mentorship and builds strong success-driven teams that foster high-performing and creative work environments.
