Dirk Lange

Dirk has over 20 years of practical agricultural and natural resource management experience in Latin American, East- and Sub-Saharan Africa. Dirk works as an independent consultant in present, but has worked with FAO, GTZ/GIZ, the University of Fort Hare (South Africa), PCI Global (US NGO) and as a pro-bono director of the CA Academy (South Africa) among others. Over the last 20 years, Dirk accumulated knowledge and experience in climate resilient/smart agriculture, rural development, capacity building/training programmes, food security, sustainable livelihoods for farmers, and natural resources management. Familiar and experienced with the design, management and evaluation of international projects with several different development stakeholders from headquarter to farming level and in less developed countries. Dirk has organised and implemented capacity building events, different participatory planning methods, monitoring and evaluation systems, gender, agricultural extension methods, and environmental management.
