I am a Development Economist working at the intersection of human rights, governance and emerging technology in conflict-affected and politically complex environments. For over 20 years, I have worked across Africa, Central Asia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East with multilateral organisations, governments and international NGOs on governance reform, anti-corruption policy, labour rights, and gender-responsive institutional design. My work is grounded in the WPS agenda and shaped by long-term engagement in Afghanistan, where I have led programmes on protection, anti-trafficking and women’s economic empowerment since 2005. Alongside humanitarian leadership, I have advised policymakers within multilateral institutions, where I observed how technologies introduced in the name of efficiency often sit in tension with legal safeguards, accountability mechanisms and international norms. In parallel, I have developed expertise in ESG and hightened human rights due diligence.
