
Janet is a focused communication strategist who delivers consistent and professional work for every assignment. For the past 20 years, she has applied a forward-thinking approach to managing internal and external communications. She is passionate about social change and a progressive communication specialist. Her career spans radio reporting, public policy engagements, knowledge management, public and media relations, event management, media engagement, and partnership building. Her experience includes working as a Development Communication Specialist in governance, water and sanitation, and agriculture for the following organizations: Research Triangle International; WaterAid Ghana, IRC International Water, and Sanitation Center; Coffey International (STAR-Ghana); Solidaridad West Africa; and consulting for the European Union Delegations in Ghana and Liberia. In all these organisations, she built a favourable public opinion by cultivating a clear and consistent image. She has delivered various development support interventions in Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Cote d'Ivoire, and Liberia. Janet began her professional life as a Broadcast Journalist and worked with leading Ghanaian media organizations, including Joy FM, Uniiq FM, and Choice FM. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana, a Postgraduate degree in Communication Studies from the University of Ghana, and a Master of Arts in Local Government Administration and Organisations from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She is a Fellow of the Katherine W. Fanning Residency in Journalism and Democracy at the Kettering Foundation in Dayton, Ohio.
