I hold a doctoral (SJD) degree in international trade law from San Francisco, an LLM from Brussels, Diploma in Law (LLB) from Kathmandu, and post-doctoral training in intellectual property from Canada. I am specialized in the International trade (WTO) law and intellectual property rights (patent, copyright, trademark, geographical indications, industrial design, trade secret, and others) areas. I have served as an Expert Consultant on the Commonwealth Secretariat and UNDP, UNCTAD, and USAID-funded trade and economic growth projects in many jurisdictions for more than fifteen years. My skills include advising governments and providing technical assistance, capacity building, reviewing and drafting intellectual property law (trademarks, geographical indications, patent, industrial design, copyright, etc.) and international trade-related laws. I am well published in refereed journals in many jurisdictions, and my research interests include intellectual property rights, biotechnology law, and international trade (WTO)/economic law. I have also taught International Trade (WTO) Regulation as a Visiting Professor of Law and Intellectual Property as a Limited-Duties Faculty in Canada.
