I am an experienced public health professional with over 20 years of expertise in implementing compliance with public health regulations, the humanitarian and development nexus, and promoting South-South Cooperation and cross-fertilization of experiences between Africa, the US, and Latin America. I have a medical science background and a degree in Public Health. I also have an advanced degree in Politics for Cooperation and Development from Spain. Throughout my career, I have held leadership roles in various organizations. I served as Bolivia's Minister of Health, Sports, and Social Welfare, worked as a Senior Health Epidemiologist at the CDC, and served as a Senior Director of Vaccine Epidemiology Research in Polio, Pertussis, H. Influenza (PPH), Hexavalent, and CoVID-19 vaccines at Sanofi Pasteur. I also worked as a Regional and country health advisor for UNICEF in Panama, Angola, and Madagascar and as Senior Staff with the JSI USAID momentum project, World Vision in Africa in DRC, Francophone Sahel countries, Nigeria, and others. I am a member of the TRP at the Global Fund Geneva for RHSS/Pandemic Preparedness Response and COVID-19 transition to Primary Health Care. My technical areas have focused on global health policy dialogue, immunizations, vaccine delivery, the resilient lens to health system strengthening, the epidemiological lens to the global health security agenda, pandemic preparedness and response, surveillance, control and prevention of infectious diseases, working on integrated health service delivery on Maternal and neonatal, Child, Adolescent Health, and Nutrition. I have professional competencies in project management, cooperative agreements, contract and grant executions and reporting, and knowledge of USG procurement regulations. I also have experience in communication, team building, strategic planning, budgeting, resource mobilization, and human resource management. I am fluent in French, Spanish, English, and Portuguese, making me well-equipped to engage in policy dialogue, transfer competencies, manage relations with the international community, and position health and development priorities within the global agenda community, including bilateral, multilateral, government, and CSOs/BFO partnerships among diverse stakeholders. I am committed to evidence-based research and policy development, focusing on equity and sustainable development goals.
