Eucharia Uranta-Okonkwo is a Researcher, Gender and Project management specialist with long-standing commitment to gender, social inclusion and human rights, programming expertise garnered from over 6 years' extensive experience working on research, monitoring and evaluation, gender-related advocacy, data audits, strategies, analysis, social inclusion, economic empowerment and human rights. Her roles include carrying out evaluations and reporting on findings, support the development of Gender -related and Agricultural proposals, identify and supervise research activities, implementation of gender, peace building and human rights interventions; ensuring gender perspectives are mainstreamed into every programme. She works with partner non-governmental organizations, community-based organizations, federal, state and local government to facilitate capacity building in monitoring and evaluation, gender mainstreaming Rapid situation analysis and social inclusion. Recently, she designed and led the implementation of 3-year gender focused project: Integrated Response Mechanisms for Reducing Violence against Women and Youth Unemployment in three LGAs in Rivers State funded by Nigeria Stability and Reconciliation Programme/British Council/DFID. Under Eucharia's leadership, gender, monitoring and evaluation was integrated across Centre for Environment, Human Rights and Development administrative and donor funded projects to ensure more equitable results and impacts. She possesses a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics degree and Master's degree in Gender and Women Development studies from the University of Port Harcourt. She is an active contributor to the launch of the State action plan 1325 in Rivers State. She is currently seeking challenging opportunities where she can contribute her quota in strengthening developmental programmes, mainstreaming gender perspectives and promote social inclusion. She is open to relocation.
