Federico Fische is an economist with more than 20 years of international development and cooperation experience, working on designing and marketing sustainable energy and low-carbon solutions, technology transfer, international business development, project design and management, and program and project evaluation. Provides donor-funded country and regional technical assistance on strategies, policies, and programs to increase access to and supply of resilient renewable energy, increase energy efficiency, deploy low carbon programs and roadmaps for the overall energy sector, climate change adaptation and mitigation, and associated financial instruments. Engage by private sector to provide technical and financial structuring support for renewable energy and climate change resilient projects from concept to financial closing, supporting developers, donors, development banks, and private investors and funds in Latin America and the Caribbean. Design resource mobilization of investment prospectuses, including developing climate change, renewable energy, and energy efficiency project pipelines and configuring the funding/financial outreach program for public and private sector organizations in Africa and the Americas. Former project developer with extensive experience in resilient energy efficiency and renewable project origination, prospecting or assessing investment and financial structuring strategies in Latin America and the Caribbean and Sub-Saharan Africa. As the Team Lead for USAID’s Caribbean Investment Program, a - $20M program that provided grants, business development support and technical assistance accelerated over $500M in private investments the Caribbean. Formerly as the Regional Coordinator for LAC for the Private Financial Advisory Network, provided technical assistance to private sector developers to reach investment readiness and financial closing, with a network of 27 advisors throughout the region and leveraging over $25 million in the Caribbean since Q1 2020. COP for USAID’s Clean Energy Finance Facility for the Caribbean and Central America, a $9.3M grants facility that assisted private renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in the Caribbean and Central America to leverage more than $800 million of investments.
