I am the Country Director for DT Global Somalia, managing USAID’s flagship programs: the $61.5 million Transition Initiatives for Stabilization Saddex (TIS3) and the $65 million Inclusive Resilience in Somalia (IRiS). With over 18 years of experience, I have overseen $400+ million in programming for donors like USAID, FCDO/DFID, EU, and ECHO across Somalia, East Africa, Pakistan, South Sudan, and beyond. I specialize in strategic planning, complex program management in fragile contexts, and advocacy, with expertise in stabilization, resilience, peacebuilding, public health, education, and WASH. I have held leadership roles (Regional Director, Country Director, Team Leader) with organizations like Winrock International, Plan International, Islamic Relief, and DT Global. I hold an M.A. in International Relations from Tufts University’s Fletcher School and a B.Sc. in Microbiology from Hazara University, Pakistan. Fluent in English, Pashto, and Urdu/Hindi, I am also conversant in Arabic.
