Summary

I am an evaluation as well as monitoring and evaluation expert of international development programs focusing on socio-economic growth and livelihoods for over 15 years. Within that time, I was also responsible for the management of the project cycle of several projects. Organizations and consulting firms worked with: World Bank, USAID, UKAID, UNDP, GEF, FAO, EU, ICARDA, World Vision, World Learning, Caritas, American Red Cross; Ecorys, Integrity, Weidemann Associates The main themes I worked on are poverty reduction and food security (including rural income generation, marketing and trade of agricultural products); irrigation and wastewater management; education and vocational training; governance; SME/social enterprise; and environmental preservation. Cross-cutting themes include gender and youth empowerment and inclusion; participatory local development (including municipalities, CSOs and NGOs); institutional building and reform (integration of the private sector in development); environmental preservation; and social and environmental safeguards – “do no harm” assessment/screening and mitigation. Geographic experience covers the Arab World and Africa, including countries under humanitarian/conflict conditions: Benin, Egypt, Ethiopia, Georgia, Iran, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Niger, Rwanda, Sudan, Syria, Uganda, West Bank and Gaza, Yemen.
