Katelula is a qualified Professional Bridge Engineer with (13) years of Expertise in Structural and Bridge Engineering. He has a strong interest in bridge design and construction and used his knowledge in specialized for construction cable-stayed bridges across the globe. He has been involved in several landmark long span bridge projects in Africa including the Tanzanite Bridge (max span 125m, length 1.03km) and J.P. Magufuli Bridge (max span 160m, length 3.0km), Pangani Bridge (max span 60m, length 525m). SGR Project Lot 1: (Construction), J.P. Magufuli Hostel (Design and Construction), Beijing Metro 19 Line Civil Engineering Construction 09 Contract Segment in China (Construction). He’s now working with GED Africa as a Chief Bridge Engineer for the construction of Luapula Cable Stayed Bridge (max span 184m, length 362m), which connects Zambia and DRC Congo. Katelula has extensive experience in different types of bridge construction methodologies including PSC Beam Bridge, Free Cantilever Methodology (FCM), Full Length Supporting Methodology (FLSM), Cable-Stayed Bridge Methodology, Incremental Launching Method (ILM), Beam Slab Bridge Methodology (BSBM), Full Span Method (FSM), Span by Span Method (SSM) and Movable Scaffolding System.
