Lemessa Demie (He / Him)

I am project management, monitoring & evaluation, refugees management, disaster risk reduction, livelihoods and food security specialist, with over 15 years work experience implementing projects with INGO's (CARE International, Oxfam GB & CORDAID South Sudan, World Bank, UNICEF, UNDP, and with the government of Ethiopia. Specifically, I have coordinated and managed implementation of integrated programs focusing on resilience and recovery, livelihoods and food security, water and sanitation sectors working with and targeting communities and households affected by disasters such as; conflict, drought, floods, HIV and AIDS. I have experience working in both conflict and post conflict environment, with experience working in different cultural setting, having worked with different communities in different parts of Ethiopia, South Sudan & Somaliland. I have experience in; project design, planning and monitoring, sub granting; assessing, awarding, managing and developing capacity of partners awarded grants to implement projects. I am a trainer, with experience facilitating trainings at both community levels for project beneficiaries and partners for staff and program team. I have experience in proposal writing having contributed to proposal development with organizations I have worked with before.
