I am a pharmacist with a Master of Science in Global Health and over 20 years’ experience in pharmaceutical systems strengthening, including supply chain management, cold chain and effective vaccine management. I recently completed my certification in Humanitarian Medical Logistics Practices (MedLog) with the aim expand my scope to humanitarian disaster areas. I have worked in seven diverse countries and have gained extensive experience in medicine management and good pharmacy practice at primary care level, the training, mentoring, and coaching of health care workers and experience in alternative models of medicine delivery to ensure better access to medication for patients. I have experience in cold chain and effective vaccine management as well as the development of a Vaccine Preventable Disease outbreak response logistics plan, cold chain manual and other relevant training material. Additionally, I have experience in audits to establish the robustness of systems like the cold chain and vaccine management principles, analysing the gaps and report on solutions, implementation of systems, training, new vaccine introduction and the implementation of an electronic cold chain equipment inventory tool. I find purpose in the ability to make a difference in people’s lives and have a great passion to improve health systems and improve access to medicine, in hard-to-reach areas.
