Margaret Ngetha

I have extensive experience in, private sector development particularly in the agriculture sector, grant management, youth entrepreneurship, value chain and market system development, and project management. Currently serving as the SBN Africa Regional Manager at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), I support establishing national networks, brokering regional partnerships, and spearheading efforts to help SMEs with a focus on women and youth engagement. I also contribute to fundraising proposals and collaborate on communications materials to enhance the visibility and impact of our initiatives. Previously, as a Senior Portfolio Manager at Self Help Africa, I was part of the AgriFI Kenya Challenge Fund team, overseeing grantee management, due diligence, and technical assistance to agri-enterprises. My tenure as an Enterprise Development Advisor further strengthened my capabilities in policy development, capacity building, and strategic relationship management with key donors and stakeholders. At TechnoServe, I implemented an accelerator program for food processors, conducted business diagnostics, and facilitated financial linkages, leading to significant operational improvements and increased production for supported enterprises. Additionally, my work also focused on the economic development of rural youth, resulting in substantial increases in participant incomes and successful business ventures. These experiences underscore my commitment to fostering inclusive growth and development across diverse communities.
