I have a doctorate in Social Welfare with a minor in Quantitative Analysis. I have more than 30 years of experience as a researcher and as an evaluation expert. I was a Senior Research Associate at the University of Minnesota for 16 years (1988-2004). Since 2005, I have successfully conducted research, monitoring, and evaluations in war-affected and post-conflict countries, including Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Cote d' Ivoire, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Somalia. Managed and conducted field research in post-conflict countries. Managed/conducted third-party monitoring in the following sectors: food security, livelihoods, WASH, social/child protection, and CSO/human rights. I have the ability to effectively dialogue with a broad range of stakeholders operating in diverse cultural contexts and institutional settings (e.g., government, United Nations, INGOs, NGOs, and civil society). I have a strong track record of developing positive working relationships with cross-cultural teams to ensure team members work effectively and efficiently. I have worked on projects that were funded by USAID, EU, DevEx, World Bank, UNDP, UNOPS, and INGOs.
