Summary

Maurice is an International Public Health and Evaluation Expert (M&E) with over 20 years of experience combining management, programmatic and technical expertise in reproductive health, family planning, maternal, newborn, child health, WASH, malaria, and data management for international and domestic interventions. He has demonstrated understanding and experience in developing and implementing Gender and Social Inclusion related programs, policies, and strategic initiatives in the context of donor-funded programs and sound knowledge of contemporary thinking on social inclusiveness practice, frameworks, and strategies. He has a strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship management skills and experience in cross-cultural contexts and has been involved in research, policy decision making, strategy formulation, and advocacy for gender and Social Inclusion related programs across Africa. His expertise includes development, management, and implementation of results-based monitoring systems, qualitative and mixed methods evaluations including logical frameworks based on well-defined and articulated theories of change. Maurice has supported programs funded by the United State Department of USAID, the Food and Agricultural Organizations of the United Nations (FAO), UNICEF, U.K. Department for International Development, UN agencies, the World Bank, GTZ, the Netherlands Development Agency, and privately funded organizations both in Ghana and across the globe. He provided technical assistance and M&E support to the development in a wide array of sectors including WASH, International health communications, Social Behavior Change Communications with the Johns Hopkins Center for Communications Programs (CPP), NGO capacity strengthening, curricula development and facilitation, media, gender mainstreaming, community mobilization for community-based health planning and services (CHPS), supportive supervision, and system strengthening. Maurice holds a Bachelor’s degree in theatre arts, history, and religious studies, and a master's in theatre for extension communication from the University of Ghana, Legon, a certificate in Advances in Health Communication from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Community Health Education and Advocacy at Walden University, United States.
