Mayra Hartmann

Highly motivated professional, offering almost 10 years diverse experience in the private, international development and non-profit sector, as a project and programme manager, with focus on housing, urban development and construction. She has a passion for social innovation, strategies for shared prosperity, disaster risk reduction, and leadership and mentoring. Her project work has focused on assisting the urban poor in primarily Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East. She has extensive experience working with vulnerable population groups and collaborative design, with a particular focus on supporting women and children under 5. She has written and researched on property development for sustainable urban development, financing housing for the BOP, leveraging technology to remove friction in the built environment sector, and innovating business models to decrease (spatial) inequality. Having previously focused on humanitarian aid and international development, working with various institutional donors (DfID, ECHO, SIDA amongst others).
