Mayssa Daye

Mayssa is a senior Project Manager specialised in large, complex government programmes in fragile and conflict affected states. Mayssa has over 12 years' experience delivering programmes to international donors such as the UK Government, Danish Government, the EU and the UN. She has successfully designed programmes in response to client needs ensured delivery of multi-year programmes both in-country and from headquarters. Mayssa has managed programmes of up to 120 staff members and $50m each, maintaining client liaison and ensuring programmes are delivered on time and to budget. In addition Mayssa has worked as a technical advisor to the government and private sector with significant experience in the Middle East, South Asia and Africa. Select previous positions include: Deputy Team Leader of a security and justice programme to the Government of Pakistan; Strategic Planning Advisor to the Iraqi Ministry of Interior based in Baghdad; part of a design team for a DFID Improved Access to Security and Justice Programme for Sierra Leone; and a Stabilisation Advisor to the Danish MFA. Mayssa has worked in Denmark, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Libya, Sierra Leone, Syria, Sudan, Turkey, Pakistan, UAE and the U.K. In addition Mayssa has undertaken business development activities in numerous other countries across Africa and the Middle East. Mayssa won the British Expertise 2014 Award for Consultant of the Year.
