Michelle DeFreese is a sustainable development specialist with a background in climate diplomacy, sustainable investing, and climate finance. Michelle has a BSc in Anthropology and an MA in International Studies. Since completing her MA in Geneva, Switzerland, Michelle has worked in emerging markets in Latin America, least developed countries in sub-Saharan Africa, and in small island developing states in the Pacific. Michelle is currently a Loss and Damage Funding Coordinator in the Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Division of the Pacific Community (SPC) based in Noumea, New Caledonia.
