Mursaleena Islam is a global health and development specialist with her Ph.D. in environment, natural resource, and development economics. Over her 20 years of experience providing technical assistance to low-income countries, and particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, she saw countries confronting the effects of climate change on health and development. She is thus seeking to apply her skills towards climate and health for innovative systems approaches, such as, integrated health and financial systems strengthening, climate financing, and cost-efficient resource management for climate-change adaptation and mitigation. Dr. Islam has strong skills in strategic planning, program design, implementation, research, analyses, monitoring, learning and policy guidance.
