- Play a leading role in improving the management of Public Health, Water and Sanitation, Environment and Natural resources; - Leading the programmatic activities related to climate risk and disaster management activities; - Experience with with the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery: risk identification; risk reduction; preparedness; financial protection; and resilient recovery. - Experience in climate science and climate data information management systems in Africa; - International work experience : Chad, Cameroon and Canada; - Experience with the application of the World Bank’s environmental safeguards policies (African Union Commission: AUC, Nations Unies: UNISDAR, AfDB – Global Facility for Disaster Risk Reduction); - Preparing reports and briefing materials for World Bank management and Africa Steering Global Facility for Disaster Risk Reduction; - High level experience in training and mentoring University students in health field research in the African setting; - Experience working with immunization program at regional level in Africa. - Experience in epidemiology, prevention and control of infections in Africa and Canada, expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) in Chad - Computer skills: MS office QuickBooks (Excel, Word, Access, Oracle, Power Point, SAP, Outlook Express) Reference Manager, Endnote, internet - Knowledge of epidemiological databases: EPI-INFO, SPSS, STATA; - Personal qualities: Punctuality and work discipline, analytical and synthesis, professionalism, efficiency and attention to good work and meeting deadlines, interpersonal skills, spirit of teamwork, good organizational and planning.
