• Ms. Shama Sallam has over 23 years of experience designing, planning, and implementing successful and creative socio-economic development programs, that incorporated elements of democracy and good governance, community mobilization and engagement, community awareness and outreach, institutional capacity building, and economic development programs. She is a multi-skilled professional in project planning, development, and contracting, moving successful proposals into action and implementation of multi-million dollar projects and programs funded by USAID, UNDP, EU, DFID and Canadians. Experience in grant management, M&E, strategic planning, quality assurance and fund leveraging. Vast experience in supervising and adapting tools and modules for community-based productivity projects addressing social and economic needs. Proven skills in team building, communication, group mobilization, leadership and mentoring. • In addition, expert at facilitating participatory processes, networking, and engaging stakeholders at local and national levels and at identifying potential links .She has worked directly with municipalities, local councils, local governments, NGOs and CBOs, and private sector. Ms. Sallam has designed and delivered institutional capacity building plans, designed to build the capacity of local governance structures and CSOs to provide effective essential services to promote good governance and democracy practices. • Excellent communication abilities, proposals write-up, Scopes of Work development, excellent presentation and negotiation skills. Good analytical, presentation and reporting writing skills , strong experience in dealing with Donors, stakeholders, local institutes and communities. Oriented, results based, dynamic, flexible, creative, cross-cultural team player, open minded, and easy to adapt to challenging circumstances.
