Sophia Anong

I’m a policy researcher, behavioural social scientist, and digital inclusion/ICT specialist with 20+ years’ experience across academia, the U.S. federal government, and international development. I work at the intersection of digital ecosystems, finance, and public policy, supporting governments, multilaterals, and alliances on digital economy, cybersecurity, AI governance, and financial inclusion. A former USAID Digital Ecosystem & Policy Advisor and tenured professor, I have led or co-led national and regional digital and cyber assignments across West, East, and Southern Africa with USAID, the World Bank, ECOWAS, AfDB, UNCTAD, and national governments. I bring deep mixed-methods research skills, remote multi-country team management, and a strong record of producing actionable strategies, scorecards, and policy options. Zimbabwean by background, I focus on practical digital inclusion for women and underserved communities.
