Summary

Dr. Bondurant has worked in international health and development for over 30 years with experience in Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the U.S. He has extensive experience in program and project design, management, and evaluation; strategic information management and planning; institutional and organizational development; and training and facilitation. His work has entailed close collaboration with governments, international and local non-governmental and civil society organizations, foundations, and the private sector. He has provided technical and programmatic expertise in the fields of sexual and reproductive health (including all aspects of HIV prevention, treatment, and care), health sector development and reform, tuberculosis, and community health. He has overseen broad and integrated portfolios including communicable and vector-borne diseases (HIV, tuberculosis, malaria, neglected tropical diseases, emerging pandemic threats), maternal and child health, nutrition, research, social marketing and communication, education, and other development areas. Dr. Bondurant has worked for or supported international and local governmental and non-governmental organizations, including the British Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, USAID, US Government-funded agencies, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, European Union, UNAIDS, World Bank, and Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. He also worked in the private sector with Johnson & Johnson, the world’s largest broad-based health care company. He has a wide range of country experience in Asia (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam) South America (Peru and Bolivia), Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe (Belgium), and the United States.
