Zayn Ali

Zayn is an APMP & PRINCE2 qualified Senior Finance Manager with extensive experience across project accounting in the international development sector. He acts as a business leader to 11 international offices with over 200 projects. He supervises a team of project accountants to support financial management and ensure compliance across a portfolio of projects valued at over £120 million for key clients including; FCDO, United Nations, Gates Foundation and European Union. Zayn has led and developed a team of 15 Project Accountants to produce financial reports for clients, project managers and corporate review. He is responsible for the preparation of monthly financial results, quarterly forecasts & annual budgets. As a business leader he supports decision making and contributes to setting and achieving company strategy. Zayn works closely with project managers to create and proactively monitor project performance for contracts of up to £45 million. He has an excellent commercial skill set and practical experience of contract negotiation, often providing guidance to PMs regarding contractual obligations and navigating project risks and issues. Following an acquisition in 2016, Zayn was part of the project team that successfully transitioned the business ERP system from Epicor to Oracle, which involved travel to and working closely with colleagues in Sydney and California. Zayn has experience of working and building relationships internationally, assisting delivery in the field in Nigeria, in addition to working closely with team members across Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
