ABOUT THE POSITION
Dexis is hiring for an experienced Cash Transfer Specialist to support a multi-year USAID-funded opportunity in Mali focusing on empowering communities to prevent and resolve conflicts. This individual is responsible for designing, managing, and coordinating the technical aspects related to the unconditional cash transfer. The cash transfer Specialist will be the lead on all the activities related to livelihood assistance. Therefore, S/He shall have knowledge and experience in cash transfer in a non-permissive environment, and design and implementation and monitoring of livelihood support activities.
This position would be based in Bamako, Mali, and is contingent upon contract award.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the technical design of cash transfers interventions, including transfers with mobile money and other methods of delivery
- Manage the development and implementation of beneficiary feedback mechanisms for cash transfer interventions
- Undertake visits to view project sites and meet beneficiaries in order to ensure that progress is made in the achievement of project objectives
- Oversee all cash transfer distributions and follow-up with all recipients following project protocols
- Work closely with monitoring and evaluation systems for cash transfer interventions and implement recommendations to improve the efficiency and quality of the interventions as necessary
- Prepare relevant reports required for management, budget reviews, project analysis, annual reports, etc.
- Develop partnership and collaboration with internal and external counterparts, including those of the UN, USAID, national partners, implementing partners, and applicable working groups
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least seven years of relevant experience
- At least one year of supervisory experience
- Knowledge and experience in cash transfer and livelihood support activities
- Experience with USAID or other donor-funded projects
- Knowledge and experience in cash transfer and livelihood support activities
- Strong management skills
- Excellent understanding of development in non-permissive environments
- French Level III (General Professional Proficiency) and English Level III (General Professional Proficiency)
