Job Description

The Collaboration, Learning, and Adapting Advisor will support Learn to Perform’s activities related to Collaboration, Learning, and Adapting (CLA). This position is only open to Malawian nationals.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with the Mission technical teams to develop a consensus on Mission collaboration priorities.
  • Plan regularly and jointly with the MEL Advisors, GIS, DIS, and Communication and Knowledge Management team to identify internal and external CLA activities critical for advancing learning and adaptation and develop work plan tasks for strengthening the Mission and implementing partners’ capacity to adapt implementation strategies based on learning.
  • Lead the planning and facilitation of L2P, Mission and implementing partner learning events planning, facilitation, and note-taking.
  • Prepare syntheses learning products, and briefers from evaluations, studies and assessments
  • Prepare materials and manage logistical arrangements for learning events for USAID and implementing partners in Lilongwe and other locations throughout the country;
  • Contribute to L2Ps annual work planning process and maintain a corresponding calendar of learning activities;
  • Draft reports and/or report inputs related to CLA activities and maintain corresponding program files;
  • Ensure current and accurate collection, management and reporting of monitoring data related to CLA activities and capacity building initiatives;
  • Conduct annual CLA assessments of both Mission staff and IPs to track progress in integrating CLA to CDCS and activity implementation strategies
  • Develop scopes of work and identify local partners and/or consultants to support design and delivery of learning events and capacity building initiatives as needed; and
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

  • Experience developing, organizing, or overseeing CLA events;
  • Demonstrated experience in event planning and coordination;
  • High level of comfort working collaboratively with others in an environment in which roles and responsibilities may shift across activities;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint required; and
  • University degree in relevant field.

Preferred qualifications

  • Similar experience on a USAID-funded award;
  • Knowledge of USAID procurement rules and regulations; and
  • Professional experience in Malawi.
