The Opportunity
The Gender Equality Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) Manager will lead the integration of GEDSI principles across all aspects of the Humanitarian Logistics Capability (HLC) program. Based in Brisbane, you will ensure that humanitarian emergency relief supplies and logistics services are appropriate for women, girls, people with disabilities, and other diverse groups.
You’ll work closely with DFAT, technical experts, and local partners to embed inclusive practices, strengthen community engagement, and promote continuous improvement in GEDSI outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to shape how Australia’s humanitarian response is delivered — ensuring it is inclusive, responsive, and transformative.
About the Program: Humanitarian Logistics Capability (HLC)
The HLC, managed by DFAT and implemented by Tetra Tech, facilitates the timely, effective, and flexible delivery of Australia’s humanitarian assistance across the Indo-Pacific. With the largest stockpile of prepositioned humanitarian supplies in the Southern Hemisphere, HLC can respond to three simultaneous crises and support over 55,000 people.
HLC integrates cross-cutting priorities — including GEDSI, localisation, greening, innovation, and Indigenous engagement — into all operations and activities.
