The Australia-Pacific Partnerships Platform (Partnerships Platform) is looking for motivated and skilled professionals who are keen to make a difference. We seek passionate staff who work collaboratively to deliver the ideas and advice that will help the countries in which we work meet governance and stability challenges. The Partnerships Platform is seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Coordinator with a proven track record in recording and monitoring all financial transactions and month-end tasks. The ideal candidate is collaborative, respectful, flexible, and resilient, focusing on providing accurate and timely support in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

The areas of focus of the assignment are:

  • Manage and oversee month-end tasks and duties, ensuring all key deadlines are met.
  • Post month-end journals and prepare reports within expected timeframes.
  • Maintain the program balance sheet and complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain the General Ledger.
  • Support the preparation and submission of weekly cashflows, monthly fund requests, profit & loss statements, MYOB reconciliations and project expense forecasts and monthly forecasts.
  • Provide analysis and commentary on monthly results against budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide support to the DT Global Project Team on internal and external audits, month-end reports and reconciliations as required.
  • Provide management, oversight, and training of the Finance Officer.

About the Australia-Pacific Partnerships Platform

The Australia-Pacific Partnerships Platform is an Australian Government initiative funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and managed by DT Global. It provides Pacific countries with a suite of flexible, fit-for-purpose options that support broad governance and stability development outcomes. We have small ‘hubs’ in Suva, Canberra, and Brisbane where office space can be accessed, however, the Support Unit team is 100% remote working across Australia and the Pacific.

About You

We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate a high degree of flexibility, respect, resilience and adaptability, and the ability to successfully build and manage relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you are an experienced finance or accounting professional with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. You have experience in coordinating end-to-end accounting processes and developing project financial systems, preferably in DFAT or other donor-funded programs. You are a team player, with a “can do” attitude who enjoys working innovatively to find solutions. You have excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the courage to put forward new and innovative ways to work.

You are based in the Pacific region (including Australia and New Zealand), have a reliable Wi-Fi connection, and can work from home as this role is a fully remote, work from home position.
