Duties and Responsibilities
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the world’s leading environmental authority, setting the global environmental agenda, advancing the environmental dimension of sustainable development, and advocating for the protection of the global environment.
This position is based in UNEP’s Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (ROAP) in Bangkok, Thailand.
Under the overall supervision of the Regional Director and direct supervision of the Regional Coordinator for Environmental Governance and Law Subprogramme, the intern will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
Applicants must be currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within 1 year) from Master’s, or Ph.D. programme with a focus on Environmental Governance and Law or related area. Prior experience in Environmental Governance and Law would be an advantage.
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme.

Applicants should have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship.
