Job Description

Expected Duration

  • 3–6 months

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Power Apps to automate IT service tasks and workflows.
  • Implement software tools to automate monitoring activities and clean-up processes.
  • Draft and maintain system and desktop configuration documentation and reports.
  • Support the development of apps for IT asset recording using mobile cameras and barcode scanning.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for automation and provide recommendations for process improvement.
  • Perform other related duties as required in support of IT service operations.

Qualifications/Special Skills

  • Must be enrolled in the final academic year of a first-level university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent), enrolled in a graduate programme (Master’s or higher), or have completed such a degree.
  • Preferred fields of study: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, ASP.Net, MVC with C# programming, and SQL Server experience.
  • Skills in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PowerShell) are an asset.
  • Experience in database management, process automation, and application development.
  • Applicants are not required to have professional work experience.
  • If selected, must commence the internship on the date indicated in the Acceptance Letter.

Languages

  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
  • Fluency in English or French is required; working knowledge of the other is an asset.
