RESPONSIBILITIES
The Jr. Data Engineer is responsible for supporting the design and development of PFSCM’s data warehouse (DWH) environment including integrating data from various systems and platforms into PFSCM DWH. The Jr. Engineer is expected to work with senior DWH team members to help address DWH development and report backlog, as well as troubleshoot data quality issues. The Jr. Engineer will follow best practices in testing and development while contributing to an ongoing effort to refine data infrastructure and monitoring initiatives.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Address DWH technical development working with supply chain operations, performance management & analytics, 4PL services, and finance & accounting teams.
- Enhance data quality monitoring by updating “Data Checks” report, and consolidate tracking of overall data quality to enhance client reporting.
- Contribute to our suite of reports and data products while collaborating with business analysts, product owners, and other team members, including UAT and support for technical testing.
- Work closely with senior team members in optimizing DWH performance and design, including outlining options to improve resilience.
- Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability.
- Contribute to DWH architecture and report documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional and Technical Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Math, or equivalent experience.
- Some experience or familiarity with MS SQL server and SSIS development experience.
- Familiarity with data warehousing, data marts, and OLAP.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration for use of required BI tooling required, along with report drafting with SSRS and Power BI.
- Familiarity with Jira is a plus.
- Willingness and availability to travel, and perform other duties as needed.
- Must be eligible to work in US or the Netherlands.
Interpersonal skills/Communication
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills with strong sense of customer English fluency required, including speaking, writing, understanding, and reading.

- Ability and desire to learn new languages and technologies.
- Strong organization skills with demonstrated analytical skills, eye for details, ability to plan, prioritize, and implement day-to-day operations in a timely manner in a fast moving, dynamic and time-bound environment
Location of the position can be based in Arlington, VA, U.S. or Project Management Office, Woerden, The Netherlands
Salary commensurate with experience.
