Job Description

Chemonics seeks a Malaria Procurement and Supply Chain Data Analyst in support of the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program - Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project based in Arlington, VA. This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals who bring both procurement and data analytics skills to work on a flagship global supply chain project. You’ll have the opportunity to make a valuable contribution in providing insight into optimizing and integrating systems and tools, conducting deep data analysis, and making recommendations towards continual improvement. In addition, you’ll support full cycle procurement of life saving malaria prevention and treatment commodities. We are looking for data science and global supply chain enthusiasts interested in continual improvement. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Responsibilities include:
  • Lead optimization of systems and other tools used by the Malaria Procurement team, trouble-shoot issues and provide technical support towards developing solutions
  • Work collaboratively with the Optimization team to embed and fully integrate systems and tools within the Malaria Procurement team
  • Manage day to day maintenance of systems and tools used by the Malaria Procurement team
  • Conduct deep data analysis and produce regular reports as well as provide information in support of critical requests from client
  • Provide assistance on high-level reporting requests such as congressional reports on an as needed basis
  • Participate in technical evaluation panels as needed
  • Provide assistance on full-cycle procurement of malaria commodities on an as needed basis
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required
  • Experience in data management and/or data analytics plus advanced knowledge of Excel required
  • Data programming skills, particularly in Python, required
  • Experience in process improvement/automation preferred
  • Experience in procurement and/or supply chain preferred
  • Ability to analyze data using statistical software such as R, SAS or STATA and present data in easily understood data visualizations using software such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Ability to write reports and present findings concisely and accurately
  • Solid project management skills and ability to work collaboratively to produce high-quality deliverables in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience in supply chain management and/or global public health preferred
  • Demonstrated honesty, commitment to excellence, and strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility and integrity
  • Excellent oral and written English language skills
