Organizes, executes, promotes, monitors, and evaluates Thunderbird Global Development training programs in Latin America.

Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 per year, DOE

Essential Duties

  • Oversees the implementation of various Thunderbird Global Development projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing client relationships, managing relationships with partner organizations, processing all reporting and payments, managing external vendors, working with vendors on program development, and achieving all promised program milestones.
  • Manages contract workforce located in Latin America. Must be able to speak and write in Spanish at a high degree of fluency.
  • Coordinates with other Global Development staff, Thunderbird colleagues, contractors, and customers/clients to insure the seamless operation of all aspects of programs including delivery, recruitment, evaluation, and promotion of the program.
  • Works to insure accurate data is being collected and analyzed for the monitoring and evaluation requirements of the programs.
  • Provides reporting and other supporting materials to program funders and partners, governmental agencies, and various non-profit partner organizations, including annual reports, quarterly reports, and bi-weekly check-ins. Works closely with ASU administrative departments to provide all necessary information for adherence to grant requirements.
  • Manages the budgets for projects and programs. Responsible for managing payments and change orders as well as making budget adjustments, as necessary.
  • Develops and manages marketing and promotional materials, including all collateral, the external website, and social media. Supports department level social media and marketing needs.
  • Hires, manages and evaluates contractors and student workers.
  • Presents programs at conferences and networking events.
  • Some travel, to work with program partners or represent Thunderbird at events.
  • As necessary, supports other Thunderbird projects and department activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND five (5) years of related administrative experience, which includes three (3) years of supervisory experience; OR, Nine (9) years of related administrative experience, which includes three (3) years of supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications

Required

  • Bilingual: English/ Spanish. Communicate at a highly professional level in Spanish both written and verbal.
  • Evidence of an undergraduate degree
  • Evidence of having a proven record of managing project execution and delivering results
  • Professional experience providing creative solutions to complex problems

Preferred but not required:

  • Evidence of an MBA or Master’s degree in business related field
  • Experience in entrepreneurial or entrepreneurship training
  • Experience working in the online learning industry
  • Experience in gender related work, development or education

Working Environment

  • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse (75%); required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work (10%).
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds (15%)
  • Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
  • Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.

EQUIPMENT USED:

  • Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED/GIVEN:

  • This position is supervised by the Executive Director of Thunderbird for Good. This person is responsible for managing contractors, interns and student workers. The position also supervises volunteers.
