Overall objective of this contract

Its overall objective is “to promote greater transparency and fairer implementation of the IPR protection and enforcement in China”.

The specific objectives of the action are:

1. To increase alignment of China with European standards in IPR legislation, protection, enforcement and best practices.

2. To improve trading and investment environment in China to EU innovators and right holders, including gender perspective.

3. To enhance effectiveness of the systems for transparency non-distortive, market-oriented and fair implementation of IPR protection and enforcement, and for discouraging protectionist market access barriers in China.

Specific objective(s)

The specific objective of this contract is to complement and reinforce the project management team with one activity coordinator (key expert), one project officer and one project support officer (non-key experts).

Specific tasks

Project Officer (NKE 1)

- Coordinate and implement project activities in China

- Provide technical inputs related to project activities, including working with Chinese IP legislation and reports

- Prepare regular technical specifications for project activities

- Prepare regular reports on the progress of activities

- Coordinate relations with stakeholders to foster cooperation and communication

- Provide inputs and implement project-related visibility matters

Project Support Officer (NKE 2)

- Handle administrative tasks, such as documentation, scheduling and coordination

- Assist on operational tasks in different activities, contribute to elaboration of regular reporting

- Assist with the logistical aspects of the project, such as organization of meetings, travel or events

- Provide communication support ensuring clear communication between the project and local vendors, stakeholders

- Manage the office matters, collect and process operational and financial action documentation, invoices, contribute to the elaboration of financial reporting

PROFILES REQUIRED

The profiles of the two non-key experts (2 x 600 working days) for this contract are as follows:

1. Project officer (NON KEY EXPERT 1)

• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (minimum level C1 in both);

• At least 3 years of experience in activity coordination and/or stakeholder management, preferably working with the main project’s stakeholders ;

• At least 1 year of experience in EU funded projects and/or EU or international institutions and bodies

• Knowledge of the IP system and relevant actors in China

2. Project support officer (NON KEY EXPERT 2)

• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (minimum level C1 in both);

• At least 2 years of experience in the organization of events,

• At least 1 year of experience in EU funded projects and/or EU or international institutions and bodies

• Experience work scheduling and office management
