Overall objective of this contact
Its overall objective is “to promote greater transparency and fairer implementation of the IPR protection and enforcement in China”.

The specific objectives of the action are:
1. To increase alignment of China with European standards in IPR legislation, protection, enforcement and best practices.
2. To improve trading and investment environment in China to EU innovators and right holders, including gender perspective.
3. To enhance effectiveness of the systems for transparency non-distortive, market-oriented and fair implementation of IPR protection and enforcement, and for discouraging protectionist market access barriers in China.

Specific objective(s)
The specific objective of this contract is to complement and reinforce the project management team with one activity coordinator (key expert), one project officer and one project support officer (non-key experts).

The overall team of the action will be composed by:
- Central Team based in Alicante (EUIPO staff): team leader, stakeholder engagement officer, program officer, financial officer and project assistant.
- On-site team in Beijing: the project leader (EUIPO staff) and the 3 key and non-key experts to be selected through this procedure.

Specific tasks

- Coordinate and implement project activities both in the EU and/or in China.
- Coordinate and implement confidential activities (studies, reports and other initiatives).
- Contribute to the elaboration of the Annual Work Plans.
- Provide strategic inputs, prepare technical specifications for project specific activities.
- Prepare regular reports on the progress of activities.
- Establish and maintain working relations with stakeholders in China and/or in the EU.

PROFILE REQUIRED

Qualifications and skills
• University degree in law, political science, economics or relevant to the assignment (minimum 4 years).
• Proficiency in written and spoken English (minimum level C1).
• Knowledge of Chinese (minimum level A2).

General professional experience
• At least 3 years of experience in IP policy and law (minimum).
• At least 1 year of experience in the field of IP in China.

Specific professional experience
• At least 2 years of experience at senior level on IP areas addressed by the project.
• At least 1 year of experience in the implementation of international cooperation projects.
