The Program
The Australian Government has established the Fiji Program Support Facility (the Facility) to support and implement Australia’s aid programs in sectors including health, education, Australia Awards and governance in Fiji. The Facility also supports the Australia Awards and education programs in Tuvalu. The Facility integrates cross-cutting themes, including gender equality, disability inclusion, climate change, emergency preparedness and response and civil society engagement, across sectoral programs.
The Facility is currently utilising SmartyGrants to manage the grant process with partners such as local NGOs, manage common program information like training attendance, location and timing (including mapping) and produce annual and 6 monthly donor reports.
The Position
A SmartyGrants expert/developer is required to review the application of SmartyGrants by the Facility in its reporting arrangements to the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT)’s. Recommendations are sought to improve how the Facility uses SmartyGrants to meet DFAT’s requirements in the area of online data collection, management and reporting across all programs of the Facility, and implement recommendations along with appropriate training of staff to maximise the benefit of the revisions.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have ICT qualifications combined with significant experience in tailoring SmartyGrants to meet project or clients’ needs, experience in training, capacity building and mentoring staff and working in a cross-cultural environment is essential for success. Excellent communication skills, sound judgement and ability to analyse evidence, and the ability to quickly build and maintain strong relationships with people from various backgrounds are also required to be successful in this role.
As a guideline, this position would be paid as a Category B, Level 3 (short term) under the DFAT Adviser Remuneration Framework.
