Position Summary: Under contract with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), DT Global is currently implementing the USAID Innovation for Affordable and Renewable Energy for All (INARA) Activity in Lebanon. This project works to increase the supply of electricity generation in Lebanon as well as promote the cost effectiveness, eco-friendliness, sustainability, and reliability of municipal power supply, while clarifying and strengthening the enabling environment for renewable energy (RE) based electrical power generation.
To maximize access to power to the largest beneficiaries of RE supply, DT Global will be undertaking the de- sign and construction of a large-scale 7 MW solar farm + battery storage micro-grid. The PV farm will be interconnected to the local electricity network and benefit a cluster of Lebanese communities outside of Beirut fed from the same medium voltage electricity distribution point (feeder line).
To support the development of this solar farm, DT Global is seeking a Solar Photovoltaic (PV) and Integrated Energy Systems Engineer Consultant with experience in renewable energy based micro-grids, solar plant design, development and construction to provide quality assurance, assessment and technical advising support to the DT Global INARA team.
This assignment will be carried out remotely, with potential travel to Beirut, Lebanon for site inspections as deemed necessary and dependent on client approval. The details below outline anticipated requirements.
