Program Background
The Australian Government’s Economic and Social Infrastructure Program (ESIP) works with partners to deliver economic and social infrastructure that benefits Papua New Guineans. ESIP works across sectors such as energy, telecommunications, health and markets, and supports Papua New Guinea’s state-owned enterprise improvement program.
Cross-cutting activities are embedded into all aspects of ESIP’s program delivery. These include gender equity, disability, social inclusion (GEDSI) and safeguards, climate change and disaster resilience, and locally led development.
Role Purpose
The Technical Manager (Solar Renewable Energy Program) will be responsible for providing technical
oversight, project management and guidance of the engineering aspects of ESIP’s growing portfolio of on
grid electrification activities. The projects include a selection of mini-grids to be upgraded to solar renewable
energy hybrid solutions for PNG Power Limited (PPL).
