Job Description

Chemonics International is seeking a Treasury Associate. The Treasury Associate will provide specialized support for various daily Treasury Department processes while seeking to develop their technical expertise in Corporate Treasury functions. The position ensures the organization’s compliance with Chemonics’ treasury policies, USAID regulations, and other auditor requirements through the extensive documentation of all Cash Management transactions and the enforcement of Treasury best practices. Responsibilities include:

  • Oversees the delivery and execution of outgoing cash flows for the organization.
  • Leads resolution of payment errors and responses to banking investigations
  • Monitors account activity to ensure accurate records and mitigate against fraud
  • Applies incoming payments to outstanding client invoices
  • Supervises the review and set-up of accurate vendor records
  • Creates FX and other complex payment templates in various payment platforms
  • Oversees completion of the bi-monthly Wirenet payroll processing
  • Develops and maintains Treasury department resources and training material
  • Independently reconciles multiple bank account with high-volume transactions by recording accounting transactions to the organization’s general ledger
  • Provides support for audit requests as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum education background for position: Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience required, Bachelor’s in finance or accounting preferred
  • 0-2 years job-related experience.
  • Fundamental working knowledge of Corporate Treasury function
  • Basic experience with accounting software and general ledger entries
  • Basic outgoing payment processing experience
  • Basic bank account reconciliation experience
  • Mid-level proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft D365 highly preferred
  • Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility and integrity
