Draft, edit, and publish engaging social media content related to UN Rwanda joint programmes.
Develop human-interest and success stories highlighting the impact of joint programmes on communities.
Support content development for the UN Rwanda website and newsletters.
Assist in media monitoring, archiving, and documentation of communication products.
Perform other communication-related tasks as required.
Internship is in-person at the RCO Rwanda, Kigali duty station.
Internship is full-time and does not attract any remuneration or allowances.
Qualifications/Special Skills
Applicants must meet one of the following:
Enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate school programme in information and communication technology or a related area.
Enrolled in the final academic year of a degree programme in information and communication technology or a related area.
Completed at least three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of an information and communication technology degree or related degree.
Preferred area of study: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
Desired Profile:
Proven skills in human-interest story writing and digital communication.
Strong writing and editing skills in English and Kinyarwanda.
Experience in social media management and basic photography is an asset.
Knowledge of the UN system and sustainable development is an added advantage.
Applicants are not required to have professional work experience.
Field of study must be closely related to the type of internship applied for.
Must provide official proof of eligibility during the application process.
Languages
Working languages of the UN Secretariat: English and French.
Fluency in oral and written English is required.
Knowledge of another UN language is desirable.
