AFD Backs Ethiopia Waste Management Project

The French Development Agency, AFD, will provide a grant of 5.4 million euros (USD6.6 million) for the rehabilitation of a solid waste management system in Ethiopia.

AFD and the Ethiopian government signed the grant agreement June 25 in Addis Ababa. A portion of the money will be used for the modernization of the city’s sanitation management system and construction of a new sanitary landfill, the Ethiopian News Agency reports.
