The European Commission’s humanitarian aid department, or ECHO, has wrapped up a cash-for-work project that benefited some 2,136 households in the southern West Bank and Gaza Strip, according to Wafa. Save the children managed the project.
Lina Rabadi of ECHO said the agency will spend 8 million euros (USD10 million) in 2010 to support cash-for-work programs targeting more than 43,000 individuals and their families in the Palestinian territory.
