The German Federal Foreign Office is providing euro1.8 million (USD2.4 million) to assist internally displaced persons in Iraq.

Some 3,600 Iraqis will boost their incomes and build new livelihoods through the German assistance. The money will also support aid projects aimed at preventing internal displacement in Iraq.

The International Organization for Migration will manage the funding.
