Some 230,000 rice farmers in central Tanzania are expected to benefit from USD2.3 million in development assistance from the Swiss government, The East African reports. The money will go toward an agriculture and rural development project managed by the Rural Livelihood Development Co. The money is part of the first phase of a USD7.2 million program by the Swiss government in this east African country.
