Agnes Nyabigambo is a health services research specialist trained at Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and Masters in Health Services Research both from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. She has competences in research, project development and management, financial management, grants writing and management, monitoring and evaluation, health economic evaluation, data management, good partnership building skills, excellent interpersonal, government and bilateral communication skills and sound knowledge Ms excel, SPSS, STATA, ODK, REDCap and EPI DATA. She is currently working as a Research Associate as well as a Study Coordinator for Sayana Press Effectiveness study at Makerere University, School of Public Health. She has previously worked as a Routine Immunization Improvement Consultant at World Health Organization Uganda, a Principle Investigator (PI), Lost-to-follow-up coordinator at the Infectious Diseases Institute where she also worked on data quality assurance and quality control studies. She was a key contributor at IDI in the Europe-Africa Research Network for Evaluation of Second-Line Therapy and the Antiretroviral Treatment for Kaposi’s sarcoma trials. She has also been a PI of two research projects funded by Grand Challenges Canada. Agnes has special research interest in infectious diseases, maternal and child health care. She considers these to be the major challenges to global health in the contemporary era. She has over eight years’ accumulated experience in HIV/AIDs care, immunization programs, and research implementation. Agnes’ work has been driven by a goal to have evidence-based practice to prevent diseases and achieve improved patient outcomes in sub-Saharan Africa.
