Summary

Arianna is a development economist specialising in International Development and Gender Equality. She works internationally for different bilateral and multilateral organizations in Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe. She supports State institutions in designing more inclusive and transparent policies while implementing projects that focus on sustainable and generative development. She also attempts to contribute to the realization of human capabilities that encourage innovative forms of personal and social evolution, rooted in social and gender justice, leading to socio-economic empowerment In 2012 she co-founded the INGO Nove Onlus (noveonlus.org) active in Afghanistan on a number of innovative projects such as the start-up ‘Pink Shuttle’ the first and only service driven uniquely by female drivers for female passengers. Her values-led doctoral research in International Development (using a Living Theory methodology) conceptualizes International Development as a global responsibility and offers an alternative to the neoliberal approach. She is a peer-reviewer of the Educational Journal of Living Theories ( www.ejolts.org). She is also a member of the scientific committee of the Women Being Project (http://www.womenbeing.co.uk/scientific-committee/).
