Arnold Waiswa Ayazika

Mr. Waiswa A.N. Ayazika is a specialist in environmental management with over twenty-seven (27) years’ experience in the areas of strategic environmental and social assessments (SESA), environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA), environmental and social auditing (EA), water resources management, cleaner production assessment, pollution management and climate change. Mr. Waiswa coordinated projects funded by different donors including; World Bank, JICA, NORAD, WWF, UNDP, EU, IGAD, USAID, EAC, MCC, KfW, DFID, UNEP, SIDA AfDB among others. He has good knowledge and experience of international best practices and standards in environmental and social safeguards management for development partners. He, was an environmental safeguards specialist/consultant with the World Food Program, Sudan Country Office from January 2024 to July 2025. He was a member of the steering and coordination committee for the Uganda International Development Finance Strengthening Country Safeguards Systems project funded by the World Bank. Mr. Waiswa has travelled and conducted a number of environmental and social safeguards assignments including capacity building in South Sudan, Sudan, Malawi, Zambia, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Swaziland, Sierra Leone and Tanzania.
