With 12 years of experience in the field of water and environment, Ashraf Al-Ma’ani is a graduate of water and environmental engineering from the Jordan University of Science and Technology in 2005. He has been an integral part of numerous regional and national projects covering environmental studies and assessments, social studies and resettlement planning and implementation, solid waste management, HSE management systems in addition to water and wastewater system. Ashraf’s portfolio of projects includes conducting studies and reports in accordance with international standards such as the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), The World Bank, International Finance Corporation (IFC), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and others. Previous experience was mainly at Arabtech Jardaneh (AJ), Dowell Schlumberger Middle East (SLB) and MWH. He worked on various environmental studies for key projects in Jordan and the region such as the EIA studies for the construction of three new gas compressor stations and EHSIA for the Rehabilitation of LPG Marine Terminal in Iraq, EIA for Construction of a Sanitation System of Aqaba south coast and EIA studies for major oil shale exploration and production projects in Jordan, and EA for four Solid Waste Dump Sites in Libya. Moreover, Ashraf involved in Implementation of Resettlement Services for MCC Wastewater Projects and Updating Project Affected Persons (PAPs) study and the Air Quality Monitoring program for oil shale mining power production project in Jordan. As part of Schlumberger HSE team, Ashraf also worked on Risha project, Gas Exploration and Production Appraisal of Risha Concession for British Petroleum (BP) in Jordan. Ashraf has a strong understanding of project management principles and practices as well as quality assurance & control procedures.
