A regional/ international technical expert with a distinct prominence in climate risk management (CRM), climate resilience (CR), systemic resilience (rural/urban/institutional), societal application of science, climate services, early warning systems (EWS), inclusive social development, coastal management, stakeholder engagement, hands-on capacity building, among others. He brings two decades of multi-country programming experience in 15+ countries in the Asia-Pacific, ASEAN, and Africa region. Integrates science, systems, population, and societal applications together to co-produce context-based solutions. Atiq holds a prolific track record of designing, managing, and implementing big and complex multi-country programs involving diverse stakeholders from government (i.e., NMHSs, NDMOs, sectors), UN entities, international-national NGOs, donors, media, private sector, cities, local authorities, and communities coherently. An expert reviewer of IPCC's global climate change assessment reports (AR5 & AR6), a member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS), a fellow of the Society for Applied Anthropology (SfAA) USA, a member of the Royal Anthropological Institute (RAI) UK, among others.
